Collect contact information in Salespath to use in your Rinsed CRM marketing campaigns or Rewards Loyalty Program.
|
Available to: Admins and Marketers (CRM), Tenant Admins (Salespath). Note: This feature only works for washes using both Rinsed CRM and Salespath. |
How Salespath contact collection works
- You collect a retail customer's phone numbers in the tunnel as part of your Salespath presentation.
- Those phone numbers get added to a Rinsed CRM contact list.
- Rinsed messages the customer with a contact form asking for additional information (email, first name, last name) in exchange for a free wash voucher or other discounted offer.
- When the customer submits the contact form, we update their contact information, so that you can have more detailed and robust data.
- The Salesperson who collected the customer's contact information earns Salespath points.
What it looks like
For the attendant giving the presentation, they will reach a slide with a prompt to enter a phone number, similar to this one.
For the customer: Once they have entered their phone number, the customer will receive a text message with a link to the contact form. This message might say something like, “Just one more step! Complete your profile at this link: [link to contact form]."
After they fill out the contact form, they receive a confirmation message, which can contain a free wash voucher, or simply a thank you/confirmation.
Setup Steps
Before you begin: Prepare your contact collection slide
Make sure you have a generic presentation slide ready to be used in your Salespath presentation. This can be a simple slide with your carwash's logo on it and a prompt to enter a phone number – this is where the contact collection box will appear in your presentation.
The center of the slide should be left blank to leave space for the contact collection box. See example below:
Step 1: Create a Contact List in Rinsed CRM
- Log into Rinsed CRM and navigate to the Marketing > Contact lists
- Click Actions > New contact list
- Name: Enter a name for your list.
-
Exclude duplicates: Choose your duplicate settings.
- If you are giving out a discount/voucher directly in exchange for the phone number, we recommend setting Exclude duplicates to Within this contact list to prevent abuse of discounts.
- If you are using this form for a Rewards Loyalty Program, you should set Exclude Duplicates to Do not exclude so that customers can earn points each time they enter their phone number.
- Click Create Contact List.
Step 2: Create a Contact Form
- From within your new contact list, navigate to Actions > Add Form.
- Choose your form fields, then click Create Contact form at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Add Confirmation Templates to Your Contact Form
- From within your Contact Form settings, click Actions > Add Salespath Form Template. This template will be sent to the customer after their phone number is entered on the Salespath tablet, and will contain the Contact Form link.
- From within your Contact Form settings, click Actions > Add Text Template or Add Email Template. This template will be sent to the customer after they successfully submit the contact form.
Feel free to customize these templates to your match the language of your brand and your intended campaign.
Note: Do not edit the {{contact form}} variable in your Salespath Form Template, as this might cause issues with the connection between Salespath and Rinsed CRM.
Step 4: Link Your Contact Form to Your Salespath Presentation
If you’ve successfully set up your contact list, contact form, and templates, you will see that a Salespath Reference Code has been attributed to your contact form. You will use this code to reference this contact list in your Salespath presentation.
Log into Salespath to complete the remaining steps.
- Make sure you have your Contact Collection slide ready.
- In the Salespath navigation menu, click Settings > Presentation Manager.
- Open the presentation you would like to edit.
- Upload and activate your contact collection presentation slide. This should be a largely blank slide to allow space for the contact collection box to appear. For more details about uploading and activating slides, see How To Add or Edit a Presentation in Salespath.
-
On the contact collection slide, click the Star button, then click Rinsed CRM. This is what will add a phone collection box to that slide.
-
In the Form Reference box, add the Salespath Reference ID from your CRM contact form. This will be visible when you open the Contact Form page in CRM.
- Check Close on Cancel and Close on Submit. Then, click OK.
-
Use the tap zone and slide mapping tools to ensure that the Contact Collection slide appears at the correct point in your presentation.
💡 Rinsed Tip: We recommend mapping to the contact collection slide from the single wash selection on each of your wash package slides, so that even if a customer does not purchase a membership, they have the option to join your text club/loyalty program.
For example:
-
Once the above steps have been completed, you are all set! The slide, when presented, will contain a phone number entry pop-up that looks something like this:
Earning Salespath points for contact collection
When using the contact collection method explained above, Salespeople will earn Salespath points each time a new contact is collected.
Default Value: By default, the Salesperson will earn 1 point upon initial phone number entry and another 1 point when the CRM contact form is completed by the customer (for a total of 2 points once the process is complete). The default XP for this action is 0.
To adjust point/XP configuration for contact collection follow the steps here.
